Good afternoon NES Families, Tomorrow begins students walking to class independently. Please drop your student off in the drop off circle or walk them to the pedestrian gate to say your goodbyes. All students must be in the classroom by 8:10AM in order to avoid being marked tardy. Thank you for helping our first two days run smoothly!

What a fantastic start to the new school year! 🏫💛
This morning, parents had the special opportunity to walk their children to class, filling our hallways with smiles, hugs, and excitement. Kindergarten students, went on their first field trip to tour our school and see key areas of the campus.
Thank you to our cafeteria staff for serving a delicious and well-balanced lunch that fueled our students for a full day of learning and laughter. 🍎🥗🥪

NES Early Release Reminder: Today is an Early Release Day and students dismiss at 11:30AM. Any checkouts or changes to transportation must be completed in the office no later than 11:00AM. All students should be off campus no later than 12:30PM. It is also our last day of school! Have a wonderful summer and we will welcome students back on August 11, 2025.

North Elementary School students competed in the District’s Battle of the Books competition this morning. We are proud of all of their dedication to reading the books for their grade level and meeting to practice trivia questions from each to prepare for today’s competition.
The third grade team placed 3rd (Natalia Aguirre, JT Gagliano, Athena Gonzalez, Alan Rodriguez, Campbell Streelman).
The fourth grade team placed 2nd (Jaxson Gray, Corbin Maggard, Sawyer Pung, Gabriela Sims, Sadie Stinson, Juliet Talas, Paizley Vasquez).
The fifth grade team placed fifth (Blakey Davis, Jemma Hamilton, Jazlyn Hernandez, Estefany Lopez LaGuardia, Natasha Medrano, Dorothy Raney).
Campbell Streelman and Natasha Medrano were two of the five elementary students in the Survivor Round, reading all 15 of the books from the Sunshine State Young Reader Lists. Natasha Medrano won the Elementary Survivor Round!
Thank you to Ms. Murphy, Mrs. Bockoras, Mr. Wharin and Ms. Carton and Mrs. Gagliano for helping coach and support our teams! Thank you to Zaxby’s for the delicious lunch for our student competitors.
The District announced that the 2025-2026 book lists have been released so students can begin reading the titles chosen for next year’s Battle of the Books!
