Please make wearing their student ID badge part of your child’s morning routine—just like grabbing their backpack! Students need to wear their badge to school every day for safety.

Today, we successfully conducted a fire drill to help ensure our students and staff are prepared and know what to do in the event of an emergency. Everyone did a great job following procedures, moving safely, and responding promptly.

🌱 Parents of incoming Pine View Academy Pre-K students! 🌱 We have some exciting news! The Education Foundation of Okeechobee has launched the Start the Sprout scholarship program to help eligible families cover the cost of Pine View Academy’s full-day Pre-K program. Don’t miss this amazing opportunity! Applications are open now, but the deadline is Friday, July 24 at 5:00 p.m. Please note that the Education Foundation of Okeechobee is a separate organization and is not part of the Okeechobee County School District. All scholarship applications and award decisions will be made by the Foundation based on its program guidelines. Be sure to apply before time runs out, and check out the flyer for more information! 💚

Seminole is proud to share that we have maintained our School Grade of a C and achieved 22 points of overall growth 📈, increasing our overall percentage by 3% compared to last year!

This progress reflects the dedication and hard work of our students and staff throughout the year, and we are incredibly proud of what they have accomplished together 🌟.

Additional highlights include:
• ELA learning gains increased by 5% 📚
• Math learning gains and bottom quartile learning gains both increased by 13% ➗
• Science proficiency increased by 7% 🔬

While we are proud of this growth, we also recognize there is still important work ahead as we continue to strengthen outcomes for all students. We are excited for the new school year and the continued progress to come! 🐴🖤

Mrs. VanderMolen attended the Model Schools Conference this week. She is bringing back fresh ideas and inspiration as we continue moving forward with Bright Futures Ahead for all Seminole Stallions 🖤❤️🌟.

This past week, Mrs. Farris, Mrs. Freeman, and Mrs. Martinez proudly represented Seminole Elementary at the Florida Council of Teachers of Mathematics Conference! Throughout the week, they attended a variety of learning sessions focused on strengthening math instruction, exploring new strategies, and discovering engaging ways to support student success. They are bringing back valuable ideas and resources to implement in their own classrooms and share with their fellow teachers. We are so proud of their commitment to continuous learning and professional growth. We can’t wait to hear all about their experience and see the amazing impact their new learning will have on our Stallions this school year! 🌟🖤

This week, Mrs. Hubbard, Ms. Camper, Mrs. Peaden, and Mrs. Drazick proudly represented Seminole Elementary and the Okeechobee County School District at the All Means All Conference! 🌟

They spent the week learning, collaborating, and exploring innovative strategies to ensure every student receives the support they need to succeed. From strengthening partnerships between general and special educators, to building systems that help ALL learners achieve at high levels, they are bringing back valuable ideas that will positively impact our Stallions.
